Welcome to Bent Road Pottery
Charles A. Singer Professional Pottery Maker and Instructor
The studio was established in 2007. The pottery has been produced since 1970. Other than the Raku ware, all of the pottery produced is hand turned from local material suppliers; stoneware and porcelain clay, glaze fired to 2400 degrees Fahrenheit. Bent Road high fire stoneware is non-porous and vitrified (water tight), glazes are lead free, can be microwaved, placed in the oven, food and dishwasher safe. All of the pottery is designed to be unique as an individual piece or as a set. Sets and place settings will be mostly the same size and weight, but vary slightly in texture and glaze composition. This is what differentiates pottery artistically created by hand, from a purchase made at the local import store.
